| El gobernador Juan Carlos Romero, mediante decreto 1964, de fecha 29 de septiembre de 2005, promulgó la ley 7.368 que dispone instituir el 8 de octubre como Día de la Bandera de la Provincia de Salta. Cabe recordar que la Bandera de Salta fue creada en 1997 luego de un concurso convocado a tal fin.
